Aba joined Social Life in June 2021 as a fieldwork team member. She currently supports the teams’ Southwark research assessing local views on their area and their experience as a resident.
Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate degree in Planning and Real Estate. Her dissertation, which was nominated for the RTPI Moss Madden student award focused on studentification and the formation of student enclaves in Manchester. She is now working towards completing her masters in urban design and City Planning at The Bartlett School of Planning, UCL. Her final project is an urban design proposal on how to plan for and design safe and inclusive informal markets in developing countries for women safety.
Outside of academia, she has worked as a planning intern during a university placement with DPP. She has also completed a summer internship with an architectural firm, MOE+artArchitecture where she worked on a few regeneration projects. Aba is passionate about urban development in Africa and designing places with people in mind.
