Jessica joined Social Life in April 2019 as part of our field team and in June 2020 she became a researcher.
In 2020 she was awarded a Masters Degree in Social Research Methods from the University of Surrey. Jessica has a particular interest in the sociology of health and illness and in research approaches that champion ethnographic and narrative methodological frameworks, challenging bio-medical models. She is passionate about public and patient involvement (PPI) at all stages of the research process.
Whilst studying for her Masters Jessica partnered, via Big Issue Invest, with a mental health social enterprise, conducting pro bono evidence based research and analysis and contributing to the enterprise’s evaluation strategy.
Prior to focusing her career and studies in social research, Jessica worked in business strategy, assisting organisations with research and analysis of complex market environments.
