As part of the Future Communities programme, earlier this year we held a seminar for our partners exploring emerging work on social sustainability and a case for agencies and developers to invest in social support and services for new communities. This seminar also included some very interesting presentations from UCL’s Urban Buzz initiative about community mapping and work on YouCanKingston, a community engagement programme about local wellbeing (Click here to view this presentation).
The action learning seminars strand is one aspect of the overall work programme for partners, which includes: bespoke local projects; action learning seminars and events; developing new content for futurecommunities.net and creating policy briefings.
