On Monday 3rd July, Social Life is hosting a free 'tree walk' in the area around our office as part of Stephen McConnachie's research on the social values of urban nature.
The walk will take in the Pullens, Draper, Newington, and Alberta estates and will be led by Paul Wood, London street tree expert, and the author of a recent book entitled London’s Street Trees: A Field Guide to the Urban Forest.
We’ll hear also from Lendlease representatives about their tree planting in the area; tree officers from Southwark Council; and local resident Richard Galpin from the Alberta Fruit Commons.
Meet at Newington TRA Hall (SE17 3AD) in the Newington Estate, at 7pm on Monday 3rd July.
