Mena joined Social Life as a researcher in April 2023, with a background in architecture. Prior to this role Mena worked for an architectural NGO, where she gained expertise in delivering sustainable solutions to communities in the global south. Through this work, she developed a keen interest in the role that architecture and urban design can play in promoting economic development and improving people's wellbeing.
Mena holds an MSc in Urban Economic Development from UCL, her research thesis focused on the challenges of the rentier state paradigm in Iraqi Kurdistan, which reflects their passion for exploring complex social and economic issues in a global context.
