The research assesses the impact of the regeneration programme on residents' wellbeing and on community life. It explores the impact of the changing built environment and community facilities, and the shifting resident population.

The first social sustainablity assessment reported in 2017. Future rounds of research will continue to document how the estate and its residents are faring as the South Acton Estate is incrementally replaced by the new Acton Gardens development.

The research was commissioned by Acton Gardens LLP – a joint venture partnership between Countryside Properties and L&Q – and took place between November 2017 and April 2018. It repeats initial benchmarking research carried out between January and May 2015 by Social Life.
