We’re seeing a substantial policy shift to place and neighbourhoods, with new investment in regeneration and new homes. But years of austerity and under-investment have taken away the know-how to do this in practice, and how to act change that benefits communities.
This 1.5 day masterclass will upskill you to be able to respond to new policy agendas on neighbourhood regeneration and new housing growth. In a small group you will have the opportunity to engage deeply in the social dimensions of neighbourhood change. This will equip you with the skills to listen to communities, to understand what is supporting them and how to work with their strengths to deliver good neighbourhood change.
We will meet online on Wednesday 2nd September at lunchtime for a 90 minute introduction and spend one intensive day on Friday 4th in Social Life's workspace. Everyone will be offered a one hour mentoring session to explore how to apply what they have learned to their work.
We will share Social Life’s methods and approaches, centering around our tried and tested Social Sustainability framework to understand how to understand, design and protect the things that make our neighbourhoods work.
