The Centre for the New Midlands and Social Life have been commissioned by Witton Lodge Community Association (WLCA) to develop and test a Decent Neighbourhood Standard (DNS) Demonstrator in North Birmingham, focusing on Erdington High Street.
The project aims to further develop, operationalise and test the Decent Neighbourhood Standard (DNS) framework through focused research on each of the four dimensions identified in the initial demonstrator project with WLCA.
The demonstrator builds on our work and collaborations with the Centre for the New Midlands and Witton Lodge Community Association on a research programme to develop, operationalise and test a Decent Neighbourhood Standard, a minimum neighbourhood quality standard to address place-based inequalities, empower communities and support a decent quality of life for all.
