WORKSHOPS JULY 18 & 19
USING DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY TO BUILD RESILIENT COMMUNITIES IN CHICAGO'S SOUTH SIDE
We are running two workshops in Chicago this week that will bring together community organizations working with neighborhoods in Chicago's South Side, the City of Chicago,Metropolitan Planning Council, University of Chicago and others, to talk about what resilience means for local communities.
The workshops are the first step in developing a new project using hyper-local technology to build community resilience. The aim is to work together to develop, prototype and test new digital tools or services to support the community and help community organizations to tackle local issues.
The workshops are part of our new Social Life of Cities Collaborative, developed in partnership with Cisco and the Young Foundation.
