Our Autumn update

In our Autumn update we have new projects, new publications and new people to announce.

We are starting Project Stentor a new project to build a prototype open-source city dashboard to bring together data on community dynamics and wider city priorities. The project is a collaboration between Mastodon C, a technology company specialising in open source, cloud-based big data technologies and is funded by the Technology Strategy Board. We will work with two or three councils to develop our ideas. We have also started a new partnership with the University of Coventry's Centre for Social Relations, helping them design a programme to reach out to Coventry's many communities.

We are delighted to launch our first publication from the Social Life of Cities programme, The social life of cities, stories of urban innovation. This gives voice to city experiences from Athens, Medellin in Colombia, Nakuru in Kenya, to Buenos Aires, Chicago and Sydney.

We are also pleased to welcome new Associates Dan Crowe and Jamie Anderson to our growing team.

Read our newsletter for updates on our new projects and on-going work in Chicago, Malmö and London where we have spoken to over 100 residents of the Cressingham Gardens estate and reported their conversations in a portrait of the estate. Over the coming weeks we will be inviting them to a series of Taskforce meetings to think about Cressingham's future.

We hope you enjoy the update and please get in touch if you have questions about our work.
